With the win, Kentucky improved to 17-7, 8-2 in the Southeastern Conference. Auburn falls to 9-14, 3-7 in SEC action. UK has won five consecutive games, its longest winning streak of the 2012-13 season.This game marks UK's longest winning streak since the Wildcats won six consecutive NCAA Tournament games in claiming the 2011-12 NCAA Championship. UK leads the all-time series with Auburn, 88-17, including a 45-2 mark in games played in Lexington. Kentucky held Auburn to 43-percent shooting (22-for-51) from the field, marking the seventh consecutive foe held under 46-percent shooting. UK won the rebounding battle for the 17th time of 2012-13 and for the third consecutive game, out-rebounding Auburn, 35-29.
UK made 26 total free throws, its second-most free-throw attempts made on the year, behind only 31 made free throws against Morehead State.
