Tuesday Roundup: Fran Curci Wants a Kentucky SEC Title, Will Stein's Tempo and Jordan Castell Makes the Thorpe List

Bye week Tuesday, and the SEC title talk around Kentucky is only getting louder.

A legend is all in. Kentucky Sports Radio says Fran Curci is ready for Kentucky to win the SEC title. When a former Cats coach is saying it out loud, you know this season feels different.

The how matters too. KSR has Will Stein explaining why mixing tempos makes Kentucky's offense hard to stop, and ESPN caught up with Kenny Minchey as he revealed the 'secret sauce' to Kentucky's success so far.

On defense, UK Athletics announced Jordan Castell was named a Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist. That is national recognition for one of the best defensive backs in the country, and it is well earned.

Hoops is right around the corner. KSR previews Central Florida, Kentucky's final exhibition opponent, and on the women's side, Kenny Brooks was 'very pleased' with the exhibition performance, but says there is room to grow.

Around the Blue: the Kentucky Kernel notes volleyball's home streak has ended as its SEC title streak faces pressure.

Our Take: rest, recover and get ready for Neyland. The goal is right there. GO BIG BLUE.
