ESPN Projects Kentucky Into the College Football Playoff as the No. 9 Seed

ESPN's Heather Dinich has 6-1 Kentucky in her projected 12-team College Football Playoff field after Week 7 as the No. 9 seed. It would be the program's first playoff trip. The bracket sends the Cats to No. 8 UCLA in the first round, with No. 1 Miami waiting.

Our Take: Will Stein's team earned this, capped by the road win at Oklahoma. Keeping it is the hard part: Vanderbilt this weekend, then at Tennessee, Florida, at Missouri and Louisville to close.

247Sports' Brad Crawford has the Cats at No. 10 in his own projection, per Brad Crawford's post on X.
