Final: Kentucky 21, Oklahoma 13 as Castell pick-six seals Cats win in Norman

The Kentucky Wildcats went into Norman and beat Oklahoma on Saturday night. Final: Kentucky 21, Oklahoma 13. The Cats scored the game's final 14 points in the fourth quarter, and the defense forced four turnovers.

Oklahoma led by six after T. Sandell's 26-yard field goal late in the third quarter. Kentucky answered with 12:53 left when Kenny Minchey found Willie Rodriguez for a 12-yard touchdown, his second scoring pass to Rodriguez of the night, and Adam Zouagui's kick gave Kentucky a one-point lead.

The Kentucky defense then put it away. Mi'Quise Humphrey-Grace was in on two sacks of John Mateer on the next Oklahoma possession to force a three-and-out. With the Sooners driving in the final two minutes, Jordan Castell intercepted Mateer and returned it 41 yards for a touchdown with 1:17 left, and Zouagui's extra point made it an eight-point game. Ty Bryant then picked off Mateer with 21 seconds left to seal it.

Castell and Bryant each finished with two interceptions. Castell's first came on an Oklahoma fake field goal in the second quarter, and Bryant's first came late in the third. Minchey finished 21 of 28 for 158 yards and two touchdowns, Grant Godfrey led Kentucky with 15 tackles, and Kentucky did not turn the ball over. Mateer threw for 270 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions.

The first half was tight. Minchey's 2-yard touchdown pass to Rodriguez opened the scoring in the first quarter, Sandell hit a 44-yard field goal, and Mateer's 20-yard touchdown pass to Rocky Beers with 30 seconds left gave Oklahoma a three-point halftime lead.
