Kentucky Men's Soccer Falls 2-1 to Coastal Carolina at the Bell

Kentucky men's soccer lost 2-1 to Coastal Carolina on Wednesday night at the Bell Soccer Complex in Lexington.
The Cats controlled the early going, putting up eight shots in the first 25 minutes, but it was 0-0 at the half. Coastal broke through in the 68th minute on an Alberto de Miguel goal, and Sammy Murphy made it 2-0 three minutes later after a turnover in the back. Yasha Schaerer converted a penalty kick in the 90th minute, but that was as close as UK got. Kentucky outshot Coastal 17-7.
The loss is UK's fourth straight and drops the Cats to 1-9-3 overall and 1-4-1 in the Sun Belt.
Our Take: Seventeen shots and one goal, from the spot, tells the story. Kentucky has three regular-season games left, starting Oct. 25 at Sun Belt leader James Madison.
