Kentucky Rifle Rallies Past No. 5 Nebraska, 4722-4719, on the Road

Kentucky rifle went into Lincoln on Saturday and came out with one of its best wins of the young season, beating No. 5 Nebraska 4722-4719.
The Wildcats trailed by two points after smallbore, 2341 to 2339. Air rifle flipped it. Kentucky shot 2383 to Nebraska's 2378, and the three-point margin held up.
Braden Peiser led the way again. He topped both disciplines for UK and won the individual title with a 1186 aggregate. Liz Peiser added a 1183 aggregate for fourth, and both Peisers shot 598 in air rifle.
For Nebraska, Alivia Perkins was second with a 1185 and Katlyn Sullivan was third with a 1183.
Our take: a come-from-behind road win over a top-five team is a résumé win in October. UK has been sitting right around a 4722 average, and it matched that number exactly in a hostile range. That consistency is what wins dual matches.
