Kentucky Wildcats Are Tied for First in the SEC After Win at Oklahoma

The Kentucky Wildcats are tied for first place in the SEC.
Tonight's 21-13 win at Oklahoma moved Kentucky to 4-1 in conference play and 6-1 overall. Georgia came into the night unbeaten, but Auburn beat the Bulldogs 27-24 in Athens on Alex McPherson's 34-yard field goal as time expired. That dropped Georgia to 4-1 in the SEC and 6-1 overall, the same records as Kentucky.
The top of the SEC standings after Saturday, per ESPN and the SEC's official standings:
- Georgia 4-1 (6-1)
- Kentucky 4-1 (6-1)
- Tennessee 3-1 (6-1)
- Ole Miss 3-1 (5-1)
- Alabama 3-2 (5-2)
- Florida 3-2 (5-2)
Tennessee and Ole Miss also have just one SEC loss, but with one fewer league game played they sit a half-step back by winning percentage. Kentucky has won five straight and is already bowl-eligible.
Our Take: It's Oct. 17 and the Wildcats share the top spot in the SEC. With five games left, every week from here is a big one.
