Ohio State Just Offered Kentucky Commit Tristin Hughes

Ohio State put a new offer on Kentucky's board this morning.

Rivals' Allen Trieu reports the Buckeyes offered Rocky River (Ohio) athlete Tristin Hughes, a four-star already committed to Will Stein's Wildcats. Hughes is coming off a visit to Michigan over the weekend, so the in-state heat around him is real.

Our Take: an Ohio State offer does not flip a commit by itself, but it raises the stakes. Hughes picked Kentucky in April; Lexington has to keep winning the relationship while the Buckeyes circle a productive two-way athlete from Greater Cleveland.
