Recap: Kentucky 35, South Carolina 34 OT (Football)

Down 17-0 in Columbia, No. 24 Kentucky pulled off the biggest road comeback in school history and won 35-34 in overtime.

South Carolina scored first in overtime and kicked the extra point. Kenny Minchey answered with a 6-yard TD pass to Henry Boyer, and Will Stein went for two to win it. Minchey found tight end Willie Rodriguez in the back of the end zone. Ballgame.

Minchey was 28-of-41 for 272 yards and three touchdowns with no picks. Freshman Kenny Darby caught 12 passes for 96 yards and a TD, and Nic Anderson had five catches for 80 yards, including a 32-yard score. CJ Baxter ran for the Cats' first touchdown. The turning point came on defense: Jordan Castell forced a fumble that Jaden Williams recovered late in the first half, setting up that score.

Kentucky moved to 4-1 (2-1 SEC). The following week, the Cats beat LSU 35-34 in OT at home. Another one.
