Recap: Kentucky 4th at Cullan Brown Collegiate (Men's Golf)
Tournament dates: Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 5-6, 2026 · Lexington Country Club
Kentucky men's golf finished fourth of 15 teams at 3-over par at its home event, the Cullan Brown Collegiate. It's the Cats' best team finish so far this fall.
UK was tied for second after day one, going 3-under in the opening round and 2-under in the second. An 8-over final round dropped them to fourth, one shot behind NC State and three behind runner-up Mississippi State. Tennessee won at 22-under.
Gavin Clutts, playing as an individual, led Kentucky at T12 (1-under). He led the 88-player field with 43 pars and made only five bogeys all week. Jacob Lang and Cameron Phillips tied for 18th at even par. Lang eagled the par-5 18th to shoot even in the final round, and Phillips had a team-high 11 birdies.
The event honors former Wildcat Cullan Brown, who died of osteosarcoma in 2020. Next up: the Williams Cup, Oct. 18-20, in Wilmington, N.C., to close the fall.
