Kentucky jumps to No. 15 in the AP Top 25

BBN, we're back. Kentucky is No. 15 in the Associated Press Top 25 for Week 7 — back in the poll after dropping out last week, and the highest the Cats have sat since early October 2022.

That's the climb after Saturday's 35-34 overtime win over then-No. 10 LSU at Kroger Field. LSU fell all the way to No. 22. Georgia stayed No. 1 (66 first-place votes), with Notre Dame, Miami, Ohio State and Indiana rounding out the top five, per the AP poll reported by FOX Sports.

One AP voter, Brett McMurphy, had already put Kentucky at No. 12 on his ballot overnight — that was one ballot, not the poll. The official board landed the Cats at No. 15. Kentucky is also No. 17 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.

No time to soak it in. The Cats are 5-1 and head to Oklahoma next Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 PM ET on SEC Network. Ranked again, road trip west — where do you have us going from here?
