Sunday Roundup: Kentucky Is Top 10 in Both Polls, Plus a Tebow Play That Wasn't

What a Sunday to be wearing blue.
The big one first: Kentucky football is a top-10 team in both major polls, No. 8 in the Coaches and No. 9 in the AP after the 34-17 win over Vanderbilt. Six straight wins and alone atop the SEC. Soak it in.
Now the fun stuff. KSR has the story behind Saturday's trickery: Willie Rodriguez's touchdown run was supposed to be a Tim Tebow jump pass. We'll take the six points either way.
The national chatter is catching up, too. KSR rounded up the Week 9 bowl projections and playoff predictions, and Danny Kanell put out his updated top 12 after Week 8. Go see where the Cats land. And a side note for anyone who doubted the hire: KSR points out that Will Stein's replacement at Oregon didn't survive a full season.
Around the Blue: a rough afternoon at Memorial Coliseum. No. 19 Texas A&M swept No. 4 Kentucky volleyball 3-0 in a rematch of the NCAA final. ESPN has the highlights. One bad day doesn't define this team.
Football gets the open week Oct. 31, then it's at Tennessee on Nov. 7. Rest up. Go Cats.
